Photographed during a hiking trip near Anzère, Switzerland, on July 12, 1998. The cloud in the photo appeared around 3 pm and was only the first in a long series of lee wave clouds that could be photographed that afternoon.

The photo above was taken with a Zenit 12 XP camera fitted with a 200 mm telelens and a polaroid filter.
