In 1999, Thom PUCKEY, an artist of English birth but living and working in Amsterdam since 1978, planted this bronze saucer in a park in Almere, the Netherlands. The sculpture is located next to a school building and is a meeting place for youngsters.

In 2008, Portuguese ufologist Nuno ALVES claimed he had visited Almere and spoken to a Dutch ex military man who told him the sculpture was placed there in memory of a true saucer crash that had occurred in the city in the 1970s.
